Mosaic Easter Egg Hunt

Today our church hosted an Easter egg hunt for the Raleigh Rescue Mission Center. If you are unfamiliar with them, they are a local Christian outreach for the homeless due to addictions, illness, etc. They serve meals, provide clothing, counseling and a place to live. What I think is so great about what they do, is they try to help these people/families get back on the feet so that they can support themselves again. Sadly, there are many children who live in this center. As a church we decided to host an Easter egg hunt along with some other games & activities for the children.

Numbered List

Riley participated in the Easter Egg hunt too. She found two eggs, not bad for her first time! She of course just wanted to chew on the eggs.

One of our wonderful teenager (Who I will not name to save from embarrassment) dressed up as the Easter bunny for the kids. I have to admit it made me smile watching the "Easter Bunny" pushing people on the swings:) Riley did not mind the EB at all. At first she looked up at him with a weird face, like who is this person? Then she just snuggled up in his lap.

Later in the day we turned on the music and did the chicken dance & the bunny hop.
Thomas danced with Riley, very funny!

To finish everything up Debbie shared a story with all the kids about the story of Easter. She had some great visuals that helped the kids understand the death & resurrection of Jesus.

Everyone came together and made this a wonderful event. We have an awesome church!
