This is how my garden grows

I would love to have a big garden in my backyard someday. There is something that excites me about "shopping" in your yard for veggies & fruit anytime you want. Last year I tried to grow tomatoes in our backyard full of orange clay. They never sprouted probably due to my lack of watering and not having the proper soil. This year I decided to try again. Instead of putting the seeds in the ground I decided to start in a pot hoping to control the soil better. It has also helped me remember to water them since I can see them sitting on the back porch. Along with tomatoes I planted cilantro, sweet peppers, and cayenne peppers. Much to my delight all four have sprouted and are growing! This is the only thing I have planted that has grown besides tulips at our old house and some red flowers that grow by our mailbox. Here's to hoping I will be making homemade salsa soon!

Riley got some flower seeds at church that we have been growing too.
